The new range of surface-mounted Polaris S0C luminaires expands the possibilities of our two-component lighting concept. Now you can enjoy the benefits of combined performance – simultaneous illumination of the bottom downlight and the diffuser – in luminaires installed directly on the ceiling structure. This solution provides ideal lighting for offices and classrooms in perfect compliance with the visual comfort standard.
While the interior hides a highly sophisticated system with an integrated lens for precise vertical illumination of the workspace without glare to the surroundings, on the outside, the luminaire dominates with absolute purity. The external diffuser provides soft ambient light for natural spatial orientation.
To meet the diverse requirements of your projects, the Polaris S0C range is available in two material variants:
- Polaris S0C – Premium glass for maximum elegance and a timeless look.
- Polaris S0C PE – Highly durable plastic (polyethylene) for applications requiring increased durability while maintaining excellent optical properties.
Three faces of one luminaire
The technology of independent control of the diffuse and directional components allows you to change the functionality and atmosphere of the room throughout the day. This is clearly demonstrated by the following three lighting scenes:
Scene 1: Synergy of light.
The combination of both sources fully reveals the main advantage of this solution. The external diffuser floods the room with soft, even light, while the integrated lens simultaneously precisely illuminates the area below. This mode creates ideal conditions for moments when you need maximum light and uncompromising visual comfort.
Scene 2: Absolute focus.
When it is desirable to dim the ambient brightness and direct attention to a single place, the standalone downlight comes into play. The diffuse part of the luminaire remains switched off and the beam flows exclusively through the bottom lens. This creates purely directional lighting without glare to the surroundings, which is perfectly suited for detailed work or visual separation of a specific zone.
Scene 3: Ambient elegance.
If the space is currently used for relaxation or requires only gentle orientation lighting, it is enough to let only the outer sphere glow. The result is a visually pure luminous object that creates a very calm and cozy atmosphere in the interior without sharp shadows.
